The ingredients for making kilaao are as
follows
1-
Flour
2-
Grape juice
3-
Walnuts
4- Almonds
5- Apricots
First, extract the grape juice and boil it for
3 to 4 hours.
Then the ashes are wrapped in a cloth inside
the juice of that grape and kept for a whole day so that the bitter heat of the
grape is removed.
The
apricots and almonds are then crushed and the seeds inside are also threaded
through a needle to dry.
Then the grape juice and flour are mixed.
After
mixing and boiling again for 2 hours, when it becomes thick, then the dried
apricots and almonds are mixed in this mixture and kept again for 2 weeks to
dry.
When
properly dried, kilaao is formed.
The kilaao is ready to eat.
Kilaao is also called the king of dry fruit.
The Ghizer district of Gilgit is very famous for making this fruit. By the way, this
fruit is easily available in dry fruit shops in Pakistan. But mangoes are
usually cheaper in Gilgit stores than in
other cities.
Kilaao is generally considered to be a dry
fruit that has to go through various stages to prepare.
